Asymmetry on the road, spring 2013

Upcoming shows that Asymmetry will be attending:

1 April. Emmanuelle Gibello at Instants Chavirés

I’m writing this report on 1 April. I apologize to everyone for leaving it literally to the last day. If you’re in Paris already, go see this show.

5-7 April. INA-GRM: Présences électronique

You have a couple of days left, as I write this, to attend this festival. If you’re in Paris already, go see these shows. If you’re not, go to the nearest airport, maybe?

Music by Subotnick, Sauvage, Whitman, and more others than you would think could be squeezed into only three days of shows.

9-12 April. Semaine Internationale de la Musique Electroacoustique

Plenty of time to get to this festival, even if you’re far from Lille. Even if you’re far from an airport. Beatriz Ferreyra will be there. Charlemagne Palestine will be there. Patrick Dorobisz will be there. Maria Virginia Jaua will be there. I will be there. Other people will be there.

Ricardo Mandolini and Maria Cristina Kasem are already there.

Four days filled with new and exciting music. How could you resist?

7-11 May. Echofluxx13

This festival was a high point of 2012 for me. So of course, I could hardly resist returning. And Prague. Surely it’s about time you got back to Prague. It’s only as far away as your closest airport.

There is a Kickstarter project for this festival, too, which you are welcome to contribute to, even if you cannot get to Prague. I did that myself for the first Echofluxx festival (Echofluxx11). It was fun. Even if you cannot attend the shows, you can feel like you’re supporting new music.

Many of the same people who made last year’s show so good are returning this year. Plus Norbert Möslang will be there.
