Very interesting article. Being from los angeles where music is a huge part of our lives, I would have liked to have known more about the actual pa equipment utilized in their theaters. That would have been really cool to learn more about. http://www.neologicsound.com

Agrastas, this has been corrected. Thanks very much for pointing this out to us, and our apologies for taking so long to fix it!

I have a recording of the unedited "Orient Oxident." Xenakis provided it for us to listen to during his classes at Indiana University. It's in monaural, but you can get a clear idea of how the concert piece was culled Let me know if you'd like it.

from Marietta, Georgia: I discovered M. Dhomont's work a few years ago at the Music from Other Minds festival and just tonight, 11-20-'10, I heard Normandeau on the BBC. WOW! You both write truly imaginative music. I'm also a composer and I think my use of sound gestures is similar to yours. Nice to have such musical companionship. Very inspiring.

This was great - thanks! I've admired this piece for years (alongside Bohor and the other tape pieces). Now I'm looking for ways to appreciate these works on a deeper formal level, without getting a degree in statistical probabilities. Spectral analysis assists with analysis, without diminishing the raw timbres and intuitive shape of the piece.

full recording of group improvisation here: http://soundcloud.com/jonathansielaff/urs-large-ensemble-cmg

This was an amazing experience. I am the one in your video who peeks his head out for a second from behind the pillar, playing electronics.
