Alain de Filippis, Petites Musiques de Bruits

If you like classical music of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this cd could possibly piss you off. It’s so much fun, though, that you’ll probably also be vastly entertained. I see from my notes on this piece that I went from annoyed to amused to irritated to entertained. I’m not sure why. I can’t get anything out if it now but good, clean fun. (It’s about more than making quirky loops of orchestra music. Much more. Lots of whirring, crackling, hissing sounds. Fun fun fun.
